10th Annual Christmas Champions for the Homeless sings GRATITUDE with 20 NFL Legends, Cece “Finally” Penniston, Bob Corritore, Paris James, Jimmie Primetime Smith, Cece Ya, Les Paul Roque and much more at St. Vincent de Paul’s

Well over 1000 of the area’s homeless will be treated to a remarkable display of love in flowers, music, and gifts at St. Vincent de Paul’s Homeless shelter on Christmas Day. The Nick Lowery Foundation’s (www.nicklowery.org) 10th annual Thanksgiving 29th “Champions for the Homeless” takes place on Christmas 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the 1075 Jackson Street location, just West of the Suns and D-backs stadiums (NOTE: use 15th Avenue entrance off Harrison as the 10th Avenue street is blocked off to traffic). 1000 flowers and 1000 gift certificates will be handed out, but most importantly, more than 1000 people will share gifts of more than 200 volunteers whoare bringing a new priority to theplight of Phoenix’ growing homeless population with NFL players and incredible music embracing the simple message that “We all are powerful, equal, loved and important, “all under the new Champions for the Homeless mural that covers one wall of St Vincent de Paul’s.
Every year, NFL Stars like former Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Champion Derek Kennard, Giants Super Bowl Champion Lionel Manuel,Raiders All Pro Lincoln Kennedy, Seth Joyner, Michael Bankston, Syd Justin, Ray Perkins, Damien Anderson, John Bronson, Raiders Super Bowl Champion Mike Davis, All Pro QB David Krieg, Chiefs Hall of Famer Nick Lowery, NBC sports Radio’s Dan Manucci, All Pros JT Smith, former #1 pick Andre Wadsworth, Ed Smith, Scott Player and Steve Holden come together as “Champions” and give an extra special HUMAN touch to Christmas. As an added bonus, The Champions for the Homeless Orchestra, with The Rhythm Room’s legends Bob Corritore, Paris James, Dave Riley, Jimmie Primetime Smith, and BillBoard Music star Cece Peniston, Whitney Steele, Cece Ya, Jennifer Smestad, and Jessi Gradillas and keyboardist Les Paul Roque will be performing.
According to Valley resident and Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Famer Nick Lowery, Champions for the Homeless has a simple goal: “To shower unconditional Love, which is the core mission of St Vincent De Paul’s. ” Steve Zabilski, Executive Director of St Vincent de Pauls, said, “Our goal is to remind thousands of Phoenix homeless that they have a purpose with us together to create a human music – that is what a great community is all about.” “Champions for the Homeless” was founded by the Nick Lowery Youth Foundation (www.NickLoweryFoundation.org) in 2006, is an Arizona 501(c)3 non profit. This is the 30th Champions for the Homeless event for St. Vincent de Paul’s.
